Motor Renter is a car and motorbike rental business proudly owned and operated by Stephen, a family man from Ocean Shores, NSW, with a passion for cars, motorbikes, aircraft, and anything with wheels and an engine.

Formerly known as Scooteria Byron, the business has grown beyond motorbikes to include a full range of rental cars—prompting the new name to better reflect what we offer. While the name has changed, you’ll still enjoy the same reliable service and local knowledge Stephen’s known for.

Stephen is dedicated to providing a fun, authentic experience for both locals and tourists alike. With a focus on safety, enjoyment, and a hassle-free rental process, you’re in good hands. When you rent from Motor Renter, you’ll communicate directly with Stephen before and during your rental, ensuring a smooth and personal experience.

Rental cars are conveniently parked in various locations between Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby, and Ocean Shores, while motorbikes are picked up from Ocean Shores. Every vehicle is well-maintained and in good condition for the unique challenges of Northern Rivers roads. However, our roads can be tough on cars and bikes, so renters are asked to drive carefully—watching out for potholes, wildlife, and taking it slow in wet weather.
